Smirta Innovations' Seamlessly Transitions Comprehensive Oncology Practice to their OncoSmart^® Platform

New go-live supports broader operational visibility across infusion, physician, and lab scheduling, to improve resource optimization and capacity management

HOLMDEL, N.J., April 27, 2026 — Smirta Innovations, a New Jersey-based digital health company dedicated to improving cancer care delivery, today announced a go-live at Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute (OCSRI). OCSRI transitioned to Smirta's AI-powered OncoSmart® platform to manage 71 infusion chairs at its Tulsa location and to build a stronger foundation for optimizing nursing, physician, and lab resources across the organization.

A key aspect of the project was executing a smooth transition from OCSRI's prior capacity management technology to Smirta's broader, more integrated operational platform. Because users had worked within established workflows for several years, the change required careful planning, close coordination, and strong on-site support. Smirta and OCSRI worked side by side to retrain nursing, front office, and operational staff on new workflows and user interfaces while maintaining continuity of service. That disciplined implementation approach helped OCSRI make the transition with minimal disruption and positioned the organization to realize value beyond infusion scheduling.

Over time, OCSRI plans to expand its use of the OncoSmart platform to optimize scheduling for oncologists and labs and further reduce bottlenecks across the full patient journey. By extending visibility into physician and lab scheduling, OncoSmart enables OCSRI to gain a more complete view of daily operations, further reduce nurse burnout, and eliminate overtime.

The OncoSmart platform's holistic approach enables OCSRI to better coordinate labs, treatment, and physician visits within a single, continuous patient experience. The result is a more balanced workload for the nursing team, smoother patient flow, and greater ability to proactively manage capacity.
